ECLECTIC L.A. – CYCLING FOOD TOUR

Good Food Preservation is back!

On Saturday June 1st. 2013, join Good Food Preservation as it will be hosting its first ever Cycling Food Tour.

Why:
Los Angeles, once home to the best public transportation system in the United States, is now infamously known for its sprawling concrete landscape, all made possible by the automobile. But as we are quickly moving along in the 21st century, there is a new sense of pedestrian culture emerging in the City, with dozens of proposed public transportation projects and millions of dollars being spent on making the streets more bicycle friendly. And it is up to us to continue this trend.

So ditch your car, grab your bike and come out and experience Los Angeles from a different lens as we traverse roughly 20 miles through more than ten neighborhoods as we sample the gems of Los Angeles’s diverse food culture. Beyond the food, we will also discuss these neighborhoods histories, their demographics (and shifts) as well as their architecture.

Where:
Eating/Drinking establishments to be visited in order.

Sauson Bakery (Armenian) East Hollywood
Pollo A La Brasa (Peruvian) Koreatown
Guisados (Mexican-Tacos) Boyle Heights
